Been looking to buy a wrangler. Probably just get 2 door sport soft top. Looking at the prices why are they priced so high , like north of 40k for a rubicon

Edited to remove profanity form thread title - T

Cause every rich soccer mom out there buys it to haul around their crotch fruit. Thus making the price go up.

Because people buy them at that price...

Is it worth that to me? Nope!

Electric sway bar disconnect
Axles
4.10 gears (upgrade)

Or buy a sport and do the work yourself for less.

You know that FCA US, LLC makes over $10,000 profit on each Jeep, right?

Is the crux of it.

And then dealers know people will buy the Rubi b/c....Rubi! and load it up with all the options they can.

I ordered mine. JKUR...literally no options but the Rubi package, 6 speed, soft top. Done.

If you want a good all around package, OP, look at the Willys as well. Good offroad package for the price if you can get past the front black oplique. Also look at ordering if the window for that hasn't closed yet and you've got 6-8 weeks to kill.

Not saying it would be cheap or easy. However a base sport 2 door is around 24k sticker price. Might be an easier pill to swallow and gives you a blank canvas of sorts to build how you'd like.

We just leased a 2016 JKU Sahara.  Because they hold their value so well, you can get a great deal on the lease.  We'll probably buy it when the lease runs out, unless I can talk the dear wife into a Rubicon.  It's her daily driver.

And don't forget the Dana 44 up front.  My Sahara has a Dana 30.

Oh, and this is what we were doing when the odometer rolled 500 miles...on Thanksgiving Day...

Yup.

And if people would stop paying $40k+ for the Jeeps, the price would come down. Hard to blame them for charging what the market will bear, however.

Buy a TJ or YJ, Ive never seen so many poser strokes wannabe off road douchebags driving these POS. Oversized shitboxes with a real douche community of drivers in those JKs. The typical driver has some poser black off road looking rims and a cheap ass suspension, maybe even a winch thats brand new and never used to complete the look of total pussified dick smoker. These people make me sick, dice their balls off.

This is real shit real, Upper Hellldorado.

Don't pay sticker for it. And as long as we are on that subject, never pay more than 1% under invoice. Just by using the Tread lightly program you are guaranteed at least that good of a deal.

And why should you buy a Rubicon?

Because this is fun.
