When Trump spoke about Obama, he sounded personally irritated, which may have been because the White House had ignored his offer to lead the federal response to the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill because the admiral in charge “doesn’t know what he’s doing.” Unfortunately Obama’s former senior adviser David Axelrod had revealed this exchange, and Trump’s offer to build a ballroom at the White House, after Donald stopped speaking to me, which made it impossible to follow up on it with him. We demand representation of those we elect, and we will hold them accountable for their failure to deliver on that compact.
That is the only reason we are here and even talking about this now. We feel our duly elected “Republican” representatives have not only abandoned us, but abused our trust most egregiously and violated any compact they could ever have hoped to establish with us. We don’t do the battered wife thing. You hose us once, it’s on you. Beyond that, 2nd, 3rd, 4th time, it’s on us. I think we can all agree we’re somewhere in this range, so it’s not you. It’s us. We will not support the next RNC-designated “electable” milquetoast candidate à la Mitt Romney or John McCain. Knock yourself out, Reince – pick Jeb! or Marco Rubio and get used to the phrase Madame President Hillary Clinton rolling off your tongue. The only thing the RNC has demonstrated in the last two presidential election cycles is their unmitigated failure to nominate a candidate who can actually win a general election. These aren’t my facts; they’re yours. |

It's funny that so many people view Trump as some kind of anti-establishment choice, and actually try to compare him to people like Ron Paul. Mr Trump is mercenary in every sense of the word. He has zero interest in the welfare of our nation, only in seeing his frivolous dalliances with disparate political notions pushed into effect, with no regard for actual impact. Then it is to be expected, I suppose. He has money, that makes him the right hand of God. He is loud, that makes him smart. He has poorly thought through stances, and that makes him brave. Supposing Trump gets the Presidency, then we will all get exactly what we deserve. When the power is wielded carelessly, we will cheer him on like the fools do Obama. When he signs into law abominations of overreach, we will make excuses and say 'it could be worse', or 'it was needed'. When the congress is turned over completely to the Democrats, and Trump's signature ensures we all get to see just how much more effective our government is than other's when it comes to stripping citizens of their firearms, we will call him a traitor to his own principles, as if we ever knew what they were. Quite the hero we cheer for, in these parts. |
