There are a lot of flaws that could be corrected with training, however, the result is not in dispute: her family was spared the consequences of an undefended home invasion. Good for her. Mine has thousands of rounds through it with minimal cleaning and maintenance (basically pulling a boresnake through it) and have never had a problem shooting it. Damn thing is more accurate than it has a right to be. 10rd mags though.

It never gave me any issues, was accurate with the little SKS scope I put on it, and goodness knows how many rounds she has put through it in the years she has owned it with no issues. She had me get her a couple more mags for it and when I called her to tell her to come and pick them up she showed-up with the money for the mags and $200.00 for the carbine. I took the money for the mags but refused the $200.00. |

As an aside, I'm wondering if they had the carbine because it was Detroit and there are restrictive pistol laws? (I don't know--is Detroit like Shitcago and DC for pistol laws in the house?) |

The real question is did the cops take her gun or not? Our new Detroit police chief is so hardcore and HATES criminals (he was carjacked a few months ago), I wouldn't be surprised if he took the gun from her (while keeping a unit stationed at her house), had his team clean it up and make sure its functionality is perfect and returned it to her with a box of fresh ammo. This is the same chief that said everyone should carry. |
