1985 Ford Ranger, 5.0, 3" lift, Explorer suspension, Explorer 8.8 with disk brakes in the rear, I have a front axle out of a '95 Ranger to put in the front (D35 with bolt on two piston calipers) I got in 2000... so as of this year I have had it half my life. Getting ready to start restoring it cosmetically now.
2002 F-150 dd, bought it in 2005 with 25k miles. 5.4, aside from 265/75-16 AT tires and 3.73 gears it is pretty much stock. I haven't met the truck I would trade it for yet.

My '16 Silverado 1500. 3 months, and 6700 miles ago. Had the dealer add a bedliner after this pic was taken. (This was right after I had signed the papers. 3 miles on the odometer.) Was going to do a roll top tonneau cover and running boards, and replace the rims, but 3 weeks later I got laid off. Managed to keep it, but havent done anything to it. Still stock, and going to be that way for a while. Gets good gas mileage though. 
Not bad for a 5.3L V8. . . . |

And while its tempting to trust you, I'd rather trust the math and the amount of fuel put in vs distance traveled data I've recorded to confirm the mileage readout, using science and numbers and shit. Topping the tank in Dayton after filling it in Crawfordsville, Indiana took 6.5 gallons. Distance traveled was 173 miles. Puts the mileage at 27.4 MPG over the route, with a slowdown in Indy due to traffic. (Several minutes in stop and go traffic.) Only way I'd get any better data would be to run a fuel burn rate meter, and I don't have one handy. The 50 mile reading was 27.7, and the 400 was something like 24.6ish Lifetime on the truck is 21.2 MPG, with about 50/50 City/Highway mix. |

I created the other thread and IM'd striker to sticky it after the first thread slipped into the archive. I then came in here and saw this thread had been pinned (I missed it when I created my thread). A few days later, this thread was unstickied and mine had been stickied.
