Word of caution when installing this rail. I forgot to look for burrs after torquing down the barrel nut and ended up putting a small gouge in the inside of the rail where it slides on the barrel nut. Thankfully it didn't cause any serious issues and the KMR locks up solid. The instructions state to inspect for burrs and to file them down if any are found. I just flat out forgot to check.

The KMR needs another coat of paint and it'll be good to go.

I built a lower for a buddy of mine and we topped it with his new BCM upper with the KMR.  I noticed it uses an index plate. Is this index plate absolutely needed and if not installed how much of a gap would show? I would think that once the cross bolt is tight the hand guard wouldn't lose index. Thoughts?

Thanks for the "heads up" thats' encouraging.

Be a nice 4th of July present... to me...

Hopefully, the BFH ELW-F's aren't far behind? -Be needing a couple of those too.....

Is there any truth to the rumor of an 18" BFH ELW-Fluted being an option anytime soon?
