What did you think of todays show? ...The list.
He had me nervous with the contrail / Blackberry segment when you combine it with the pre 1979 SUV on his list. When he talked about it he seemed to know more then what he was saying. At the end he just said because its easy to fix. He has lots of contacts. What did you think? Non subscribers can sign up. At checkout click on the radio symbol and enter" JAY" get 30 days free. If you dont like just cancel. Todays 2 hr survival list is under /Glenn beck show /episodes /10/13/11 edit; sorry i'm on a web tv I cant provide links. Beck said he would post the list on his website. Without his commentary the list is typical of what we all read here. |

Sorry not a Beck fan, just another guy being a loud mouth so he gets paid. He is just regurgitating the same ole stuff we've been saying for years. He is not saying anything new or prolific, He is just trying to scare all the sheeple and his loyal lemmings.
Honestly, this wouldve been better received in the GD, they just luv Beck. lol |

Planning on watching it later this evening, so I'll report back.
For the Beck haters - you've got to concede that he's been pretty spot on regarding many of the current unfoldings (i.e. Middle East turmoil, Israel hatred intensifying, global riots, economy, Soros and Van Jones stirring the pot, etc.). He may not be providing anything new to those who are awake, but at least he's doing some good by waking others up to the fact that we're headed down a dangerous path. |

I read Arfcom, Drudge, the onion, MSNBC and get the same current events as Beck, its not rocket science to see what is going on, infact you cant hide from it. Quoted:
I'm a Beck fan. We've seen him speak several times. I honestly believe that he's interested in preserving the Republic and restoring the principles on which it was founded. I wonder what his BO location looks like. Penthouse on Park Avenue. lol Quoted:
Glenn has a great perspective regarding world events and he can get people mobilized to defend our constitution. However, he gets stuck on topics and can't seem to move on so this makes my attention fade pretty quickly these days. Really? I havent read about the great Beck Uprising?Who, what , where and When did people mobilize? Are talking about the jokers in NY? I just see and hear someone who is loud spouting off about the same crap over and over. He acts like he is angry. Key word being "ACT" , you dont get paid by speaking softly. |

He said that he has his family stashed away in Texas, for security reasons. |

I simply stated that I check various news outlets to get my news and take it for what they say with a grain of salt. Some on here apparently feel that Beck has all the answers and his "news" or show is cutting edge, I simply disagree. He is loud and obnoxious. jus my opinion |

DT, I think what the others are saying is IF you don't subscribe to ARFcom or some of the other 'reputable' sites that as a 'sheeple' Glenn Beck's news is cutting edge. This forum seems to be more awake and cutting edge. I like to think that not a whole lot gets past us as a group. We may argue pointlessly and angrily on a subject till the thread gets locked, but at least the general info is out there. I come here for my 'news', read a linked article, make a judgement and then maybe discuss it IBTL |

die-tryin,
Beck had a huge turn-out for his 9.12 event in DC which filled much of city center and helped to bolster the Tea Party development during its earliest days. His quirkiness aside, he's one of the few voices in the media that shines the light on government miss management (regardless of political party) and identifies those trends that have lead to our cultural slide from our founding principals. I was by no means inferring that Beck is supporting the current demonstrations on Wall Street or in various cities throughout the US since none of this aligns with his ideologies or that of his viewership.. |

Right, but how was GB spinning it? Full disclosure, I haven't watched or listened to Beck since my subscription ran out in July. Anyway, the president's blackberry is almost a character on Beck's radio show. They've been joking about it since he took office and refused to give it up or disclose anything on it. One joke is that it's his direct hotline to Soros. My guess is that they're taking the blackberry outage and an ongoing show theme and playing it for laughs. I think the president's teleprompter has also been a guest on the show. Calling the "missile launch" or whatever the California incident was a "contrail" discussion is completely wrong. He addresses a single incidence of a vapor trail on a specific day along with the events that surrounded it. Many people think it was a test launch from a Chinese sub and don't buy the "inbound flight whatever bound for Los Angeles and some funky weather" explanation. On the other hand, when you mention "contrails" in the vein of the tinfoil hat crowd, what they're talking about is mysterious aircraft crisscrossing the sky and making specific patterns of vapor trails for mysterious and probably nefarious reasons. Comparing Beck's bit on the "launch" to a contrail discussion is like comparing a called flyer to the magic bullet theory. |

I really think that Beck believes what he is saying. His timelines are almost allways off but most of what he says is going to happen does happen eventually. I don't use him as a news resource, just a info resource since I cant trust the media to tell me how it is. He allways says to do your own research not just trust him .Besides, I say most people in the survival forum has a gut feeling that everything is about to change. For the good or bad no one knows for sure. I credit Beck for helping me wake up my ex demacrat / liberal wife. Sometimes it takes more than your conservative, kookie ,gun crazy, paranoid husband to get you over the hump. |
|
So I watched the show late last night and thought it was pretty good. Like others on this board, I didn't learn anything new. But, you've got to give him credit for waking so many people up (me being one of them years ago). He's the only major media person preaching the truth of what's around the corner.
Take him as you may, he's certainly not doing anyone a disservice. If you don't like him, turn him off. The more people we have on our side when things get ugly, the better. |

Whats the contrail and blackberry thing all about? The chemtrails, which contain mismo beams (mind message transmitter) were turned up too high and screwed up Blackberry messaging. This proves they are trainsmitting mind message beams via mismo transmission. |

Quoted:
For all of the smart things he does and says, the contrail issue explores the idiot in him. Is Beck referring to the "Gubmint mind control Chem-Trails" or that weird rocket contrail off the west coast some months ago? I'd agree that the west coast "rocket contrail" was rather creepy. I still haven't heard a reasonable explanation of that one.

When people say that Glenn's no different than all of the other penthouse-living talking heads out there, it's pretty clear that they haven't listened to Glenn much over the years.
Like his style or not, he's been pretty consistent with most of the things he's been saying. Yes... he's sort of a "doomer", but he walks the walk and believes in it. It's not just his schtick –– with him laughing al the way to the bank because he fooled us "suckers". He's done probably more than any other radio personality to educate the public as to what's really going-on in Washington and the world. He's not always right, but he's right a lot and as right as you can be when you're predicting the future. The FACT is, he's SURELY motivated people to get prepared who weren't all that motivated before and/or educated them on how/where to start. So when you lump him in with all the other talking heads out there and accuse him of being no better, it serves to devalue YOUR opinion to those who know better. I'm not interested in picking a fight, but I get tired of the knee-jerk reaction crap when certain names get mentioned and I believe in giving credit where it's due. I consider Glenn to be an ally in the fight against tyranny and THAT is what matters to me. |

watching it now. I have always considered glen beck to be a more palatable alex jones. That's a fair assessment. Beck just takes week old Alex Jones stories, scrubs them of a bit of the 'over-the-top' sensationalism and polishes them up for mass media consumption. My law school roommate used to laugh at me when I listened to Beck and he would finish Beck's live on air sentences because he had just heard Alex Jones use them the week earlier. Finally he showed me where Alex had used a clip of G. B. Shaw on eugenics. It was rare archival footage. It appeared on Beck's television show 4 days later. Both of them are net gains to liberty. I wish each of their listeners would develop a bit more of their own discernment, however. |

The way I see it Beck entertains the masses, while disseminating real info, and as far as repetition of the same themes are concerned I believe that is necessary to educate a varying and short minded audience. |

He's done more to wake up the sheep than all the rest of them put together. Next time don't be so eager to make a fool of yourself. |

| It's been awhile since I've listened to Glenn Beck. I've always enjoyed listening to him and on the whole agree with him on most subjects. So I went to his internet site today and listened to his 'sign of the times' directive/advice. To be honest he seems very contrary in his statements, quite unstable and deluded compared from when I used to listen to him. I truly think he is a very confused individual right now maybe because of all the stress he has put on himself or he has too many 'voices' talking to him right now. But I certainly would not take his advice very seriously. He states to go into debt? Buy land or a farm if you can!?! It's that kind of thinking that has gotten this country in a mess along with too many individuals. Remember- 'The borrower is slave to the lender.' I've seen way too many people make wicked decisions and treat people cruelly because they owe so much to so many. Some have literally lied about and tore their co-workers down so they would look better to their employers; so they could keep their jobs. It's easy to give up integrity and right thinking when your owned by the wrong god. |

Sorry, just not a fan. And not going to turn SF into GD, so ill leave the GB discussion to others. Im out. Not trying to make it about gossip and innuendo. Wasn't the intent. It is about being prepared for hard times and possible violence. Everyone does it for their own reason. If GB can give some people the reason to prep for hard times then more power to him. The more people who are prepared the less people knocking on or trying to knock in someoone else's door. |

Just my opinion here, so take it for what it cost you. I think Beck makes some very valid points and observations. I also think he has good foresight and a large and loyal following. Overall I believe he provides the community at large a service that is needed in regards to information. I also tire of his incessant showboating and caricatures; how many times do you have to dress in an SS uniform to get your point across.
If he wants to be an actor, he needs to proceed in that direction; if he wants to provide timely, accurate news about local and world events and situations, he could make it much more palatable without all the theatrics. I find the message useful at times, but no longer watch or listen to his show due to the overboard presentation. He could take a lesson from Liddy. |

Limbaugh is so out of touch he thought piuzza cost 9.99 a slice and said so the other day on his show. |
