Anyone got a lead on cheap, in stock uppers and free-float tubes? Wanting a basic aluminum tube like what was on the ban era Colt varminters(the ones that look like a Mag-Lite handle). Seems like everything else is showing up cheap.
ETA-stripped uppers, not upper halves. |

Richard can get you a basic tube forend pretty cheap. He might still be there if you call now.

I got a free upper from Ballistic Advantage a week or so ago, but had to buy $175 worth of stuff (basically, a barrel) to get it. |

After doing a preliminary inventory, NONE of my 16 blems were cracked or damaged in any obvious way, just missing pins and buttstock plates. Anyone contacted GWACS to see if they'll sell the buttstock plates in addition to the pins? I guess I need to figure out what to do with all of these.... I've got 4-5 LPK in the safe. That's a start. |

The question is, do they fit the lowers we have or only A1 stocks?

Just got off the phone with Trinity. They had taken down my number on Monday and called called me back like they said they would. They offered a limit of two on the good ones and as many blems as I wanted for $5 each. I did 2 and 8. I figured I would save you guys a few. Thanks for the heads up @backbencher.

Ok, ladies and gentlemen, just got a text from Richard. There are 17 non blem lowers with takedown pins and buttstocks left, for $20 ea, limit 2. There are 218 blems left for $5 each, no limit. Shipping of orders $80 and up, in CONUS, free. Orders start via phone and email Monday, at 10:00 AM Central. |

Cavalry Manufacturing sells the buttplates you need for these. This is the C1 assembly. There is a plug that goes behind the plate for use with the CAV-15. Call them and see if they'll put up an item for the CAV-15 buttplate. The GWACS buttplate is for receivers that have been trimmed slightly shorter.

Regarding cracked magwells
1) Melt it with a soldering iron or other hot peice of metal and clamp it together. 2) Use a 1/4" nut and bolt to hold the front end together. 3) fill it full of epoxy and clamp together. Some people have also counter sunk screws then expoxied over them. 4) Some people have used plastic welders from harbor freight 5) Return it to GWACS and pay $35.00 for a new one. |
