| The really cheap way to do this is a clevis pin w/ multiple holes, a couple of cotter pins, and some washers to take up the space btwn the receiver and the cotter pin. Also will hold your magazine well together if it's cracked. You can even just buy one length of clevis pin and just use the different length holes for front and back pins. |

got my 2 today. The finish is a little rough, but hard to argue with 2 lowers for $100 after transfer. Attached File |

Got mine today. Two good ones and 10 blems (they pushed me to buy more and threw extras). They averaged out to $13 each after transfer fees.
Most of these will be given as gifts for neighbors. We'll all be working on them, painting them and getting them set-up. It should make for a good winter project. Thanks for the information OP! I called on Monday and the second call got picked-up.

Dunno. Think they were shipping 2 day USPS at one point. They're open now, but the shipping gal isn't there, so call Monday if your dealer doesn't have it then.
Oh snap. I lied, b/c he told me they were still waiting on 2 FFLs. Some of y'all's FFLs don't do email, they're mailing copies of their FFLs. |

One of mine isn't wanting to completely latch onto a mag. I looked at the catch and it doesn't appear to be going all the way into the mag well to completely enter the notch on mags, but I can't see anything obstructing it anywhere.
Any idea on where to start trouble shooting it? |

Almost everything is here!!
I found a slick side upper on the EE....we exchanged some PMs and agreed on a price, I sent the $$, and now crickets........hoping the member is having personal issues, etc and I didn’t get hosed. Couple other irons in the fire if it falls thru. If need be I’ll buy a new one. Approx $55. The Matrix arms 15” FF handguard is pretty nice. I may get another one for my own rifle! Since the rifle is for my stepson I’d like to assemble everything, test fire before Xmas. Wife ordered a soft case for it as well. I’m thinking he’s gonna want to camo paint it so I may grab some spray paint and wrap it also. |

This is why I don't keep records. "How many guns do you have?" "Dunno, I live in Texas."  Also, Trinity was transferring these as "receivers" on the 4473, which means these weren't subject to the multiple handgun purchase reporting nor the "multiple semi-automatic detachable magazine rifle" reporting requirements in border states. I guess the BATFE might be watching Arfcom, in which case, I was never here....

Given how ignorant of the NFA I have found some BATFE agents to be, one would hope that @ least some of them attempted to better their firearms knowledge by reading publicly available firearms websites. I'm giving my lowers away to Texas residents in person, and shipping lowers to FFLs out of state & paying the transfer fees as gifts. Didn't buy them to sell or flip - bought them for all Constitutional purposes, including gifts.

When Wally world clearanced their ARs, she drove around town and bought every one she could find. I think she ended up with 26. ATF wanted to know what she planned on doing with them. "Whatever the hell I want" wasn't the answer they were looking for so they paid her a visit. She answered the door, told them she had three boys and a husband who were covered for Christmas and birthdays for the next few years. If they had any other questions please feel free to make an appointment with her lawyer. She never heard back. |

So far 10 of my 20 are gone. 5 as gifts and with each of those I gave them a split blem to practice stippling and painting on.
The other ones I am going to build out for myself or for my kids. No neckbearding here! I had two phones going trying to call in and after what I thought was too long of a time I got someone on the phone. When he said 16 lowers for $80.00 and if you do that I will throw 4 more in for free I just could not pass that up! Thanks again OP!! |

Quite welcome. The Cav Arms Mk 2 is interesting from a materials science standpoint, a bit of history of the response to the Clinton AWB, and a lightweight lower. At $129 for a stripped lower, it's not much of a buy. Even w/ an ARFCOM 5% discount, still not. At $65, when other stripped lowers were selling for $60-70, it was a buy. At $20, it's awesome. @ $5, or $1, or free, it's a killer deal.

Picked mine up today. Slight disappointment, slight positive. I ordered 2 complete and 14 blems. What I got was 16 incompletes(No pins or Buttstocks). So although I didn't get the two with pins and buttplates, I did get 16 with no cracks.

Assembled the lower for my boys Xmas gift.
Function tested it on my 18” upper. All systems good Used a piece of large paper clip as the cross pin for buffer retainer. Bent a bit of a kink in the end to hold it in place. Cut 4 coils off the safety selector spring The trigger and hammer didn’t just fall in the lower. Took a bit of a push to get them both in and lined up. Don’t see anything causing them to drag. Mags don’t drop free when the mag release is pushed. I see a bit of flashing on the front and rear of the magwell that may need some filing/sanding. Should have the rest of my parts by this weekend. |
