FYI, you can convert your steel frame Baby Eagle to 22LR with the EAA Witness conversion kit.  Use the small frame kit (EAA part # 109910) for 9 and 40 caliber guns.  If you have a 45, you need the large frame kit (part # 109915)

Here's a video showing the small frame swap.  I have a 45 and the large frame kit installed the same way.  Obviously, you lose the decocker/safety so you will need to thumb the hammer down or clear the chamber to make it safe.  The slide stop does not activate automatically (weak mag spring?) but can be manually engaged.
