Did some shooting yesterday with fellow ARFcomer Turtlesniper out on his land. Got all my guns sighted in, shot the Holland out to a few hundred meters but REALLY worked on my Mod1 "skills" (or lack thereof).
First plate is at 250 yards, second at 350 (?), third plate is at 440ish.

After this, we stretched out to 600y - 1000y. I was able to make hits at both 600 plates and I got three hits at 800y. I threw some rounds at the 1000y plate but it was impossible to see or hear if I hit anything. I got behind Turtlesniper's .308 and hit the 1000y plate just for good measure.
All-in-all, it was an awesome day and I learned a helluva lot! Big thanks to Turtlesniper and his buddy Derek for a great day of shooting; looking forward to getting back out there.

Glad to hear nothing serious was goin' on with your mod1.

Sounds like a damn good time. I wish I had the land to stretch mine out.

Did the M16A1 receivers for the MK12 Mod and Mod 1 come with ambi safeties? My Colt LPK's all come with the longer style safety so I think I'll use my KAC ambi safety instead.

Hello everybody,

I'm in the planning stages of piecing together a Mk 12 Mod 0 clone and want to know what everybodys thoughts are on the Mk 12 uppers currently offered by PRI. I'm looking at this one specifically: PRI Mk 12 Mod 0 upper

I'd like to know if the Gen III tube is round or triangular, I can't tell from the pic. I want to build as accurate a clone as possible and the PRI upper is within my price range.

Nodak is supposed to be releasing some of their own forging A1 lowers this Fall.

If you don't feel like waiting, member braceman can recontour an A2 to A1 profile, engrave it with Colt, H&R, Hydramatic, Mattel, etc mfg markings, too.

Some did, some did not.

Army ones seem to have them, USMC pictured on Wiki does not. But am sure it could be either/or regardless of branch. Do whatever you want?  I am going WITH...if I find LMT, KAC, or similiar cheap enough.

Well I thought I would get some opinions on what you guys think who already have their mod 0's done. I am not asking about the looks of a particular stock but how you like carrying the rifle related to weight distribution A1,A2 sopmod etc... what have you found the most comfortable to use with just hand carry sling  etc thanks.

And for a side note did the ARMS #22 mediums used for the mod 0 always come with no lever stops or were there both
and I bought the ARMS #40 stand alone rear sight now I hear from a buddy of mine that it was they A2?
These parts are $$$$$ to buy more then once

Your average mk12'ist won't see the difference in the #40A2 and the standalone so no big deal there. Technically, the correct rings would not have lever stops, but I wouldn't sweat that too much either.

As for the sling/stock setup, I preferred carrying with a 3pt sling on an A1. The padded MK2's I have now are pretty comfy either way. I swapped to a CAR for the looks; no other reason.

ARMS 22 TRR is getting cut tonight so it fits on the rear scope ring without interfering with the magnification ring.  Excited to get it on there.  Harris, MRD, and Suppressor are the only things left. The Rifle is pretty well paint ready after the TRR is finished and on the rifle.

You're covering it in maple syrup?

I just had a thought btw. Marcus Luttrell lives here in Tx, if there's ever an event here in the area it'd be neat to have him shoot/bless my Mod 1 whenever I finish it. Or I guess Dan would do as a close 2nd . I'd be willing to bet he already has one, that might be neat to ask him or see whether he had HCS or Centurion build him a Mod 1. I've heard he spoke highly of the rifle since it fell off a mountain with him and still worked. You think HCS maybe gave him a working one after Lone Survivor?

You're covering it in maple syrup?

I just had a thought btw. Marcus Luttrell lives here in Tx, if there's ever an event here in the area it'd be neat to have him shoot/bless my Mod 1 whenever I finish it. Or I guess Dan would do as a close 2nd . I'd be willing to bet he already has one, that might be neat to ask him or see whether he had HCS or Centurion build him a Mod 1. I've heard he spoke highly of the rifle since it fell off a mountain with him and still worked. You think HCS maybe gave him a working one after Lone Survivor?

Let's do it!

Love it.

I parted out my BCM LW rifle to start on a PR clone, so I'm in the market for 2 GenII waffles and yet another ERGO.

Thanks.  With the #40L and the scope mounted further back I loved the type E last year. But I can pretty much guarantee I won't go back to an A1 for hunting.
I've got a correct M4 stock waiting for the season to be over to paint it.

The 16" recon stainless with the CLE match chamber. This thing feels better in the hand than the mod1. Might have a new fav.

Seems like the vast majority of "in the wild" Mk12 pics we have show an A1 stock.  We're these Type E with the trap door?

If so, where's the best place to find a USGI issued one (non replica)?

I don't feel right posting pics of my Mod 1 until the sopmod is replaced with an A1.
