Still haven't decided on an optic yet. A mk4 1.5-5 sounds good, but a TA31 doesn't sound bad.

That's an idea. I already have an NSN on a BlockII, so I could swap it over and pick up TA31 to replace it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there's no formal specs for a recce, right?
14.5" or 16" stainless barrel, free float forearm, and variable optic are the real criteria, correct?

Haha I was just busting his balls about this too.

Hey Utah I may have missed it,but what barrel are you using?

Barrel is a Bison Armory 16" mid-length job stock profiled for the OPS/AE brake and collar. Really a nice barrel for the money and I doubt I can outshoot it.

BTW, the black ain't staying.

So I just got Lancer's new carbon fiber fixed stock, does this mean I'm not recce anymore? Shoots retard soft, especially smooth with JPs silent capture.

Maybe you can do an experiment and see how long you can hold off.  I kinda like the mish mash look.  Looks like you are such a tough dude you needed to replace some things you wore out.

It's Tango Down front sight/light mount deal, fits x300 and WML nice and snug, plus the sight portion is amazing, super wide field of view.

No it's not. You'll probably paint the can on the ride home.
And, I'm definitely feelin' this now: except for the SOPMOD. I need to get another CAR.

Hey RT, what length is that tube? 12" on a 16" barrel?  I was thinking about a new rail system and was curious how long I could go on a 16" barrel and still have room for the Ops Inc. collar.

Yep, 12" PRi tube gives you the perfect amount of room; my can will literally index back almost to the edge of the rail.

Maybe you can do an experiment and see how long you can hold off.  I kinda like the mish mash look.  Looks like you are such a tough dude you needed to replace some things you wore out.

Ain't gonna lie, this thought crossed my mind and is still a solid possibility, haha.

Shit, lol, just realized I hadn't yet removed the cardboard tube I used for masking during my spray paint session.

Suppressor stamp is at my dealer and I should have it by next week.

The one on the far right kneeling.  That one looks like it's got a fixed stock.  But what is going on with that barrel?  The pic quality makes it hard to tell.  Does it have a skinny type can on it?  Or is it just...  I don't know.

Plus it's weird, it almost makes me think it's a .308 for some reason, the way the back of the receiver looks.  But even if it's not it almost looks like it has a rifle gas black and looks like an SPR predecessor.

Maybe I'm crazy.  What do you guys see?

OK, then I wasn't crazy.  For some reason I was thinking that picture was before those were in service.  But I guess not.

Thank you, sir. I was extremely lucky. A fellow member, who has helped me get my hands on some elusive hardware, happened to have one available and I was more than willing to give it a new home.

Also, I should have a CAR, an ERGO, and a couple teardrop FA's showin' up this week to pretty much round her out.
