Based on non-partisan reports that Langley Academy covered on YouTube last night, we need MORE of these "buybacks"
. The reports indicate they really do nothing at all considering there are hundreds of millions of guns in circulation. The number of guns retrieved in a "buyback" does not even register as a blip in the overall stats even if an unlikely amount of 1000 were brought in. However, one of the "perverse" side effects has been noted in the gun community for years: people turn in junk non-functioning guns or functioning guns of little to no market value. They then turn around and buy new better guns with the money! Who would have thought it
I envy the people that sold crappy "USA" brand magazines for $50/each to a buyback that on rare occasions bought standard capacity magazines
