So it appears that the gun shops who have .223 ammo are selling it in ration form; 100 rds. to each customer.

If I didnt live so far away from the nearest shop I'd stop by once a day, hehe.

Not sure whether I should wait this out a bit or just get what I can get at a higher than normal price.  I have about 1500 rds currently but thats not enough for me and I go to the range every few weeks and use a few hundred rounds.

Sit it out.  This has happened before.  1500 is enough.

Unless...you need to feel to shoot a lot...then buy it.

Yes, I would like to be your friend as well, haha.

BTW, I also have 300 rds of 00 Buck so chances are those will be used first in an urban civil unrest environment.

"A friend in need, is a friend indeed; but a friend with .223 is betterrrr" hahaha

It appears mother nature is going to prevent me from getting range time this week so I'm being rationed by god apparently.

If that's shot out of a Mossberg 500 or Remington 870 you would have some sore shoulder.

Actually shot out of a H&R Pardner Pump (Copy of Remington 870)Pics Below....Last time I went to the range and shot 125 shells, this is what my shoulder looked like.  Also was after shooting 200 .223 rounds.  Most of the 00 buck were from the shoulder not the hip.  Gotta keep that baby tucked tight to the pec, hehe.
