Hmm... My club's out in the burbs, in Nassau, about 30 minutes from Albany, and I shoot there all winter. A couple of times last winter, when the 1/4 mile road to the rifle range was closed, I slung my rifles over my back and hiked in. Another time after an ice storm, I hacked off with my knife enough branches of the bent over trees to get my little car under them and drive up the hill. But I'm usually the only guy at the rifle range in the winter (and quite often in the summer, or any time except the sighting in period before deer season).
Our trap range closed at the end of the winter last year, due to 6 inches of ice on the ground, but the year before it was open for business almost every Sunday morning, all winter long. There's even a winter trap league with a feast in the spring. And Sunday morning traps/skeet is open to the public (as is Wednesday evening from May to September).
But back to the topic of this thread. I haven't worked out Lord of the Rings times yet. I've promised to take the kids and a friend over the weekend. Maybe we'll be able to go Sunday afternoon, but probably we'll see the 11am show on Saturday. That puts me in Albany between 4 and 4:30pm, assuming the wife will watch the kids, which I will do my best to convince her of over the course of the week.
I haven't seen any expression of times or dinner plans this time. Hiram?
