... I'm flying into New York tomorrow to finish a project I've been working on for the past 14 months. I'm staying at the Hilton, New York and I would like to have a Glock in my "residence" during my stay.
... Tell me please, is there any way legally that I can take a small handgun. I think not according to Packing.org website.
... However, you guys may know of a way. TIA.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, I would feel safer armed, too, but there's no way you're going to do it legally if you're not a Fed. I'm on my way there today for a couple days, attending a conference. I'll be at a hotel on E 32nd. Which Hilton are you going to be at?
Anyway, that being said, this is one of those times when you have to weigh your safety against unconstitutional laws. I have to do it every day; I live in OH.

No chance in hell would it be legal under ANY circumstances. However, if it makes you feel better, NYC is pretty frikkin safe, especially in the area you're staying in.

Hey, Winston, I was thinking about trying to meet up with some of the NYC area folks if they are available:
I'll be in the Union Square area (15th St. 5-6th Aves.) for a meeting Thursday. Coffee or a quick drink around 7pm? My cell is 917.502.1378.
... If not too beat from flying I'll join ya!

Dont bring ANY gun to NYC. There is no way in hell you'd be able to talk your way outta that one.
Unless of course your willing to wait wait about a year and prove that you NEED to carry a gun.

Helldog, I'll be on my way back to Ohio by then. I need to be back at the office Friday morning. Just finished the drive in here, and I'm glad I got a late start. Traffic on Manhattan isn't bad at 11pm. (At least on 42nd St & 5th Ave.)
