Been to a gunshow with a ND before. Not fun. It was a mini 14 IIRC

Anyway, what are complete frankenbuilds selling for? Is it part dependent, or are prices really low? PSA seems to be dropping which tells me used, home builds probably don't have much value but figured I would ask y'all that go to shows regularly. Have one I'm ready to get rid of

Should've jumped two months ago, but it will still sell.  Stripped lowers still over $100, complete lowers over $300 except KE Arms KP-15 for $250.  S&W M&P-15 down to $7-800ish.

Bump.  Anyone else coming out for delicious BBQ?

Did anyone else have the bbq potato @ the gun show or the salmon @ Flying Fish?  B/c I no longer have either.

Ok, updated the OP w/ all the new shows All Tex just dropped.  Paris, Tyler the same weekend as Canton, etc.  I'm delighted we're getting so many shows - after Mesquite Rodeo this weekend til mid-September, we have at least two shows, and three times FOUR shows a weekend in the N Texas area.  Only Mommies Need Action can complain about that.

Planning to hit the Mesquite Rodeo show around 3:00 PM Saturday, then dinner, likely @ Kearney's.  Anyone else coming?

RebleYell all the way from Oklahoma & tacton will have tables, as usual.

I generally don't go to gunshows, unless I am taking someone new to firearms so they can browse easily at what types of options are available.

Only the first 5 or 6 saw the actual tag.  I didn't.  Goatboy won't let you tag more than that in a single post.

4 or 5 hours of driving for a gun show isn't high on my to-do list.  So probably not.

Curious.  I wonder how the system figures it out, since I definitely didn't get a tag notification.  

The @'s become random when you @ more than 6 people.  You have no idea who gets it and who doesn't.  Doesn't work in any particular order.  But 6 is the maximum number of @'s guaranteed to work.  

I worked through all possible combinations, practically, in the Live PD threads.  

Enjoy.  Unless I have something specific on my list I just don't enjoy gun shows like other people.  My experience is obnoxious idiots telling me I can't live without their product and I will work for them post apocalypse.

That is an absolute real story.  And not everybody does it, but its been almost 10 years since I found a deal at a gun show.  Lots of people enjoy them, and take no issue with those that do enjoy them.

Three years ago @ Big Town, I found a beat-to-hell Inland in a Choate folder for $500.  I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough.  Dropped all the parts into an IBM receiver, gave my accountant Da an IBM for Christmas.

Enjoy and I appreciate the thought.  I think you will find many of us just don't share the same passion for the gun shows for similar reasons.  The needle in the haystack is just not worth all the lunacy I was experiencing when I would go.  

One of these days I will come out and meet for dinner though.  Not gonna make this weekend or any time soon.  Too much OT available to work.  Sadly I had to turn it down for the night of wonder, but that was worth missing one shift.

Do you guys go to Wanamacher’s? I’ve always wanted to go. I’ve got about a case and a half of US Air Force survival rifle 22 Hornet ammunition and I’d like to get a table and set there and sell it one box at a time until it’s gone and then see how nice a firearm I could buy with the proceeds.

Will probably put the O'Fish Eel Tulsa thread up in October.  Don't have my drill schedule yet so don't know if I can go.  We had a good time up there this spring.  Might ping ContraHQ, go in w/ him on a table.

I gotta get my certificate too. That's the only way I'll be able to get to some of the functions up there. I got my medical. I'm looking for a basic plane to learn on.

The last gun show I attended, the DACA show at Southfork in perhaps March was a far cry from the good old days at Market Hall back in the late 90s and early 00s when one could still find surplus at reasonable prices. My late father-in-law was a DACA member, so when I was in town on gunshow weekends I'd make a point of walking the aisles with him.  He always had a table but had little on it for sale.  Model 1 spun up some 8mm 1919 barrels for a friend of my F-I-L, and one weekend at the machine gun shoot we attended we put a few cases of 8mm at 6 cents a round through one of those barrels until it was a smoothbore. Those were the days.
