Shooter is in custody.
Have seen conflicting reports. Some indicate no casualties, other indicate casualties, at least one LEO shot. Waiting for details. |

A friend who is in CS currently stated the shooter was killed by an LEO. (not sure if that is accurate or not)
I guess, technically, that is in custody. |

Oh, no.... even though it's not a campus shooting, per se, we all know the news will make it out to be another college campus shooting.

Is Summer School even in session still?
Last time a Code Maroon lock down was issued, it was some Aggie from the Corps wandering around with a rubber practice M16 used in flag ceremonies. |

Fox news has it as 3 wounded––condition unknown. 2 are police, one is a civvy. Rumor has it this was an eviction gone bad.

It's been a few years since I was down there and my sisters lived on the corner of Welborn and George Bush in those shitty apartments. Wasn't that whole area back behind there kind of a shithole?

The last paragraph on the Yahoo story:
Monday's shooting comes a little more than a week after seven people, including the suspected gunman, were killed in a mass shooting at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wis., and less than a month after a gunman opened fire at Aurora, Colo., movie theater during a midnight screening of "Dark Knight Rises," killing 12 and wounding 58.
Is it tragic, yes. Is it on the same level as these other shootings, no. |

Does anyone know what firearms were used?
Clip from story "Police said officers shot and killed Caffall after a more than 20-minute shootout. Caffall fired more than 65 rounds during the incident. Authorities found four weapons in Caffall's home, including a handgun he took from Bachmann after fatally shooting him. The other weapons were a semi-automatic sniper rifle, an assault rifle and a bolt-action rifle. Does anyone know what firearms the perp had / used? |

Anybody figure out what the hell was wrong with the guy?
I looked at his FB page while it was still up and looked up some of his posts on other sites so I could see how media reported it and try to figure out how this guy lost his marbles. He moved from Temple to CS in March with "the help of his family". Then he talks about buying the VZ58 for like $800 and the Mosin in May. Doesn't mention a job or going to school. $800 is a pretty good rental payment. Were they hoping to get him a fresh start or to get rid of him or what? |

Constable killed, shooter died of injuries. I was otw home from the range at champions when it happened. Drove right down Texas Ave and a left on to Bush on the way...
