Where's a good place to get them? I haven't been to banana bay in a long time, do they carry those?

Anyone have a preferred store, or know where I can get them for a good price?

I'm talking about the metal cans not the plastic ones.

Thanks!

Looking for the .50 cal and .30 cal size. Perhaps the big ones too, if they are cheap enough.

I think Banana Bay had some last time I stopped in - not sure about the prices, if they were good deals or just average. I keep telling myself to go over to Killeen and hit some surplus stores for things like this, but it's been a few years, and the surplus store of the past may not exist anymore!

I usually just pick mine up from the Army Navy Store over on Burnet Lamar.  Their cans are in top notch condition, and they spend a little time cleaning them up before putting them up for sale.  A little pricey compared to some of the online deals (probably works out about the same with shipping), but from what I recall, they are still cheaper than Banana Bay.  I think I last paid about $13 or $14 for a 50 cal can.

I normally go over to John Gun's in Bastrop from my ammo cans. Last time I was there in June, I bought a bunch of .30 cal cans for $7 a piece. They were marked $16.95, which seemed high, so I asked John and he said it was a mistake, they should be $6.95.

I forget the name of the shop. Its a army surplus just North of 183 on
Lamar. On the East side of Lamar. Its a small shop.  But prices were not too bad. Quality was good. Lots of different size cans too.

My mistake, I meant to say Lamar.  I always get those 2 mixed up for some reason.  It's the place that tiger85 is referring to.

8311 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX
