Fracking mallware nailed me. I fought the good fight and lost.





Having problems getting laptop to boot, I think the boot.ini is corrupt. Unfortunately I don't have any boot disks or any system disks for XP (preloaded machine). I think I got the infection wiped off, but need to have someone look at it.





I've got a 2nd machine that the HDD may not be recgonized. probably a hardware issue but also needs boot help. I don't really use this one, but would like to recover pics and video from it. Best case senario would be recovery and just make it a surfing machine.





I'm usually pretty good with this stuff, but when I took A+, we used Win ME.

And honestly I'm just out of practice.





I'd just rather pay someone to do it than deal with it.





Need suggestions for shops in Plano/Allen/Richardson area, preferably with someone that you've done business with.  I'm not real hot on the whole Geeksquad thing.

Ah, I forgot he tinkered with that. If I can't get it resolved this weekend myself, I'll try that option.
