I can't remember the guy's name (been almost 10 years), but he was the doctor who did my eye doc's eyes. Her name is Dr. Sorrenson and Lakeline vision is her practice. I can't say enough about how well my procedure went.

Don't know anyone in Austin.
I had mine done 4-5 years ago. I went from 20/400 to 20/10. Amazing. |

Got mine done at Mann Eye in Austin. Dr. Mann's son, also Dr. Mann, did my surgery and I can't say anything negative about it.

I had mine done in 2001 by Mitchel Wong of the Austin Eye Clinic and if I could do it over again I would have gone to the Mann Eye Institute. I was 20/100 and 20/80 with a bad astigmatism. He said he could correct it all and I would be 20/20. He didn't do as he claimed and I was back wearing glasses within a month. He did correct me to 20/50 and 20/40 but I've still got astigmatism and still wearing glasses. $4000 is what it cost me.

Sorry to hear this. Be sure to ask around before you have any operation. Some doc's have well known reputations in the local community and if you ask for opinions from other professionals, it will be pretty apparent who the good guys are... and are not. (Mann has a good reputation.) |

Not in Austin but Boothe. I have never had any kind of doctor sit down and actual talk to me and answer every question. I felt 100% before and now feel 100% after.

Thanks for the recommendations. We're setting up some appointments now. Hopefully she can throw away her contacts/glasses in September.
