Last I checked, they are made with Real Sugar in Dublin Texas. I dont know about cans, they were all bottled when I visited. Taste so much better than the canned Maple Syrup crap.

"Dr Pepper" (the soft drink inventor's nickname) was cremated and had his ashes scattered over Big Bend Nat'l Park. Rumors of his being "canned" were spread by his bitter rival, Coca Cola and are utterly false.

Don't forget.............there is no period after Dr in the name Dr Pepper.
