Quick question:  Does a short bbl, from a Kel-Tec .380 or a Beretta M-84 .380, generate enough velocity for a HP to expand?

If it doesn't, then I figure shooting FMJ's would be more reliable (not that mny M-84 has ever jammed) and equally as effective.

Could you please give more information.  Is this factory ammo?  Have you thought about running some of the ammo over a chrono, to see what exactly the velocity is?  Is the load you are shooting supersonic?

I was speaking in a general sense.  Bullets fired from short bbls.

If you place the barrel opening against the side of the bad guy's head and pull the trigger. It will, no doubt expand as it hits the skull bone.....

It will also leave you with a nice souvenir in your barrel.

I was joking with SC....you would need to leave about a 1/2 inch gap between barrel end and skull....unless you wanted your .380 to pull a Glock on ya and explode...
