Buddy lives there.  Supposed to do some work on his house.
He called and said open only to residents due to an officer involved shooting.

Nothing more at this time.

Police in Plano are investigating a shooting involving an officer Tuesday morning.

It happened at about 6 a.m. in the area of Spring Creek Parkway between Blue Ridge Trail and Ranier Road, about two miles west of U.S. 75. That portion of Spring Creek Parkway would be closed there until further notice, police wrote on social media.

It's less than a mile south of me.
Same neighborhood as 2017 murders

Was stuck in this Spring Creek traffic this morning around 10:30, I had come off Alma going west on Spring Creek, basically had to detour through neighborhoods to reach Independence Pkwy.  Must been 30-40 marked/unmarked police vehicles blocking not just Spring Creek but one block north at Cherokee Street was also closed to traffic.  Neighbors out in their yards watching the slow traffic flow.

Basically avoid Spring Creek between Custer and Alma.

At the time I thought maybe was search of that haji abode who murdered the Lyft drive and shot it out at the Plano PD building.

Regards,
Hking
