Was wondering if any of you guys are going hunting this November for fall turkeys and if you are I pray you have a safe and fruitful hunt.

My buddies and I are starting to plan the hunt on the 12th-14th and I was wondering if any of you guys have any spots or information that might score some birds that you would give to a fellow hunter and New Mexican. That’s of course you aren’t planning on hunting those spots in the first place, I don’t want to take any opportunities from your hunts.

We didn’t get any during the spring season so I’m throwing my hat to you guys in the off chance you know of any good spots.

Sorry about the crappy pic, but it’s what I’ve got.
I elk hunting up there almost every year. I have good luck drawing archery tags.
This is unit 9 Mt. Taylor
I can’t share directions to the honey hole, but even if I did, it’s not worth the hike just for a turkey.
I’ve been seeing an increasing amount of turkeys every year. They seem to be everywhere.

We hunted Mt. Taylor last fall and got these two females.

It’s probably where we are going this fall too. Beautiful place and there was no one around us for the 3 days we were out there.

Nice birds!
I remember that pic from another thread. Mostly because of the Jeep!

They have cut the elk tags down a lot recently. Very few deer tags normally.
Less and less hunters.

I have been seeing an increasing amount of sxs’s running around.
I’m now having to go farther and farther from the road every year.

Turkey numbers seem to be up a lot.
