I have a friend who is interested in moving to northwest Arkansas. He has tons of management experience and a master's degree. He is interested in any good job opportunities in NWA, but specifically Wal Mart or JB Hunt. Do any of you guys work for either of these companies, or do you have advice regarding employment with them? Thanks in advance.

Got some friends at WalMart, 50+ hour week is standard.  Lots of them seem to have the flexibility to work from home on occasion.

I work for a Wal-Mart vendor in NWA, and my advice would be to definitely consider the vendor side.  There are tons of companies with big offices here dedicated to serving Wal-Mart and you are really limiting yourself by only considering Wal-Mart and JB for jobs.

100% agreed. I'm also a vendor (category management and advisor for Walmart) and work for a fortune 100 company here in Rogers, AR. My office has about 30 people but there are definitely larger (and smaller) offices around here.
