Freezer is already full. My 6pt and my 10yo sons good size doe. His first deer. Great year for us. I may still go out. Saw a monster buck during the summer. But haven't seen him since. Maybe he'll get spooked out of his hiding spot.

Good luck. Shoot straight. Stay safe.

Shot a spike opening morning.  Saw a fawn, shot the spike that was chasing a different much smaller fawn, and saw a good sized doe late in the day.  Hunted Saturday and didn't see anything.

Dad shot a large bodied 6 point opening day and saw a fawn late in the day.

We were hunting in Midland county.

Took a couple decent does off my place near Cadillac;

My Daughter connected on this doe at 180yds. Hit on left side high lung,
exited right midsection through 2nd to last rib, splintered it. Not
recovered but again very effective pill. Deer went 40yds with massive
bloodtrail, lung chunks too.

Both were taken with 300 AAC Blackout handloads, 125gr SST and a rifle I built.

Long thread on the place; http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_10_23/666913_Transforming_a_Scotch_Pine_jungle_.html&page=1

Filled my tag Saturday in Ontonagon county.

This one simply had girls on his mind and ran into a bullet. He was stepping right along a trail and scrape line, panting like a dog with a glazed look in his eye. Left front shoulder hit, with shattered bone entering the lungs and the Nosler ballistic tip 30-06 fillet'd open the heart.  3x5 8pt 142lbs hanging weight after the precious inner tenderloins removed.  Second buck I saw that morning.

I got out of there Sunday morning before the storm hit.  The only thing we lost was internet and phone service.

just returned from the WMU C for a wolf hunt from last tuesday until today, didn't see squat, no tracks, no howling, nothing, hunted almost the whole eastern part of that hunt unit. Also didint see squat for deer, squat meaning we seen one very nice buck with a doe at midnight when we rolled into town Tuesday, then didn't see any deer after that, plenty of trails and sign but no hair.

I hunt  the west and east sides  of lake Gogebic.

Saw more wolf tracks than deer tracks, and I still get around quite a bit.
