Walked in to Sportsmens yesterday to pick up some ammo, Wolf military classic comes in 500 round cases at $120 a whack. I needed ammo so I bought one. This shit is so underpowered compared to any brass cased ammo I have fired.

Anyways.. Buddy of mine bought a 250rnd bulk pack of 9mm UMC. IIRC it was in the low $40 range. I grab a 250rnd pack of .40 and the shit was almost $70!!!

But on the other side, I shot my Bushy ORC. And I like it

I was at Sportman's the other day and the UMC mega pack of .45 auto was $79. A few days earlier I picked it up at GI Joes for $55 after some complaining. Regular price was $65 and they are running a 10% off till this Saturday so it would be $58 and some change. I'm sure their 9mm is quite a bit cheaper.

I looked at the Wolf, it was $4.79/box at Sportsman. Was gonna grab a box just to see how bad it really was but didn't. I just picked up a 500 round pack of Remington at last weeks show for $160.

I think that wolf is steel jacket with a lead core.

Bi-mart has the UMC 9mm on sale again, around $38 for 250.

I just cut the bullet on the lathe, It's got a thick steel jacket with a lead core.

Can I still use it at PR?

Most likely yes because the next few PR's will be held in the Action Pits with cardboard targets. Rifles, steel targets, and close range do not mix well, hence the cardboard.

If the lake in the rock quarry goes down enough there may be one long range stage there with steel targets, so that may change things.

What! No boarding party stage? Everyone must shoot with a patch over there dominate eye and must row across the pond using there rifle butt as an oar.

ARrgghhhh They be plundering our booty.

Not on steel targets. There may be a paper only match coming up.
