Congrats Sir!

I just built myself a new upper after receiving a few missing parts from Del-Ton.  (No more mini-y!)  Great folks to work with, but damn, it felt like I was going to wait forever to get the shipment.  Order date:  01/28/2006  Delivery date:  02/07/2006.

Enjoy good sir and please let me know if you need to borrow any special tools.  (Seems odd to offer tools to the tool man.  )

Enjoy!

Need to get a rear sight and I'm good to go.......new toys are too much fun......and will hopefully have the new lower later this week (crosses fingers)

Can I play??

Stag lower ( ws4lieeeeeeeeeef!)
RB Flat top upper
Wilson 20" 1/7 match barrel
Smith Ent vortex FS
SS M16 carrier with Colt bolt
RRA NM trigger
RRA A2 Stock and buffer
YHM lightweight FF forearm
YHM Flip-up front site/gasblock
Armalite one peice scope mount
Bushnell elite 10x40 with mildot and target knobs

Not shown is a Optima mounted on piggyback scope saddle.

In its current state it fires but does not cycle. May need to realign the gasblock (thanks WS4lif for having this trouble with yours).

Schweet rig there, I'm building one for a buddy at work this week.   Cav arms Midlength upper with a Stag lower, dpms LPK, Cav M4 stock and ARMS 40A.   He's in for less than a bargain basement bushy.   I wish I could keep it for myself, the sabre defense barrel is awesome.

That pic above makes me want to build another SAM type rifle for myself.

Cape, what ammo you using with it?   I built a 20" that would not cycle wolf at all, short stroked every one but ran fine with EVERY other load I tried.    I slightly enlarged the gas port and it ran wolf fine.

Well the first few rounds have been factory win 45 gr varmint loads. Has a .223 match chamber so its very tight. It is short stroking as well. I will reset the gas block and double check the gas rings, then try again.

ETA: Once its running right it will get nothing but handloads.

One other thing, is it a new gas tube?   You might also try putting a carbine buffer in to see if reduced buffer weight will help it cycle the lighter bullets.    Slap the upper on another lower if you've got it sitting around.  ( who doesnt? ;)

New gas tube and the formentioned are in my bag-0-tricks for lunch tomorrow. THough I have to admit I had forgot about switching buffers.
