Do you guys plan on spending your tax refunds (if you get any) on guns or gun parts? If so what you got planned for that breadcrumb from uncle sam's table?
I'll be using my funds else where this year. |
Gonna finally get that cosmetic procedure done eh? Hmm...a glass belly button to improve your vision, guess it's money well spent |
Peta, what are you going to spend yours on??? I know last year spent some tax money on a gun!!! I think I will be paying off some bills......Great fun! |
What if you died in 6 months....would be pissed you never bought that "whatever". |
Then let him do what he wants, just have him add ya to his will |
Didn't know I was telling him what to do....looks like I asked him a question. |
Engagement ring? |
If I died in 6 months, I'd be dead and wouldn't exactly have the mental capacity to care. |
This is my first year since moving home. It will be fun to see exactly how much the fed, state and multnomah county are stealing from me. Especially since the GI bill is tax free and I only made like $10,000 last year.
The good part is that this is Oregon. Rains every day. |
Looks like one of those things from Dr. Who. Gawddamn nerd! ETA: Oh yeah, now I remember. They're called "Daleks" |
Could it be??? Engagement ring will last ya longer than the extension. Those pumps wear out too. |
She is a nurse Jackass, unfortunatley she has seen alot of dick in her day because of that.....but there is only one she calls her own and yes, I am a big dick |
And it's in her purse. |
Better hers than WS4LIF's!!!! |
Do you prefer Louis Vuitton or Coach? |
If I can jump on-topic, forgive me. But I'm going to buy a P22 and a can for it, or at least pay for a can and the paperwork and get it coming.
Argh. Where were you about a month ago! We just did a group buy on a .22LR can. |
I've usually bought gun stuff with tax refunds. But this year I'll probably put it toward the down payment on a house.
Yup, same here. One of these days I will find a house, To bad the market sucks right now. |
I'm looking at one of these myself. I've always wanted a 91!!!
I ended up getting mine right before the market REALLY turned. |
Yep but who's gonna spend the $$$ for the real deal, not me. I hear these are the best H&K 91 clones on the market. |
I am looking getting into a .308 also. I'd really like a DSA STG58 Carbine or an M1A but don't think I'll have that much money coming back to me. THink I'll probably go with a less expensive FAL or an even less expensive Cetme.
I'd like to hear your review on the PTR 91, if you don't mind. I've been wanting one and will be selling a NIB Colt LEO #6520 and something else to make it happen. |
I'm not into HKs enough to lay out the cash for a real one. Added bonus, I wanted a 16" versus a full length. So the PTR was a good fit. I was always weary of a 'clone' of any firearm. Maybe I was just surprised since all the HKs and HK Clones I've seen have seen century clones, federal arms (DoubleTrouble2003 bought my HK91 clone - Portuguese parts on a federal arms receiver), and a handful of CETME's... some are really nice but many of them leave a little to be desired - rough finish, old parts kits, rust in strange places, etc. Buth this thing is NICE! I haven't shot it yet but JLD has done a great job. It is in GREAT condition; fit finish color, welds, etc. The bore is clean and bright. When I shoot it, I'll post how it goes. If/when I get the Vector (they are back ordered 4 months) and do the SBR, I'll need to liquidate the PTR since the semi-auto .308 bang stick slot in my gun safe will be filled, you want to trade for the colt? |
Yea, I have a nice special weapons HK91 Id trade for a Colt AR.
Avoid Century G3 clones like the plauge........( I had one for a whole month, never worked right...)...but I hear PTR's are awesome...but if you are a lefty, you might not like it...try one on for size 1st.
I got a Century FAL, I may be willing to part with to start my DSA STG-58 Para fund...
I'll bring it to the shoot. Why not, I'll probably bring just about everything else... |
Check out the magazine stands at your local Freddie Meyer or grocer, for a copy of the latest SPECIAL WEAPONS for Military & Police costs $6.95, but has a review of the JLD Enterprises PTR-91K 308 in it.
AND....also has a full review on the SCAR Mark 16 5.56mm - the replacement for the M4 and M16s. Very cool issue. Just my .02, but I'd go with the DSA FAL over the JLD Costs a little bit more, but worth every penny |
... and it continues to turn. Today's front page story in the Oregonian confirms this. I've got a few arms on my list. After shooting my bro-in-laws HK USP, I'd kind of like one. Thinking also of another .308 (A DSA FAL or Springfield M1A scout). Talking with NoAim and WS a few weeks ago got me thinking of a MAC 10 or 11. Perhaps WS, upon getting approved for his, won’t like it anymore and will sell it to me... cheap. I may need a new safe (or another one) this year... |
Yes, you are my big dick and my favorite one, that's why I come home to you every night!! Nurse Jackass, eh? Kind of like that!!!! |
Have you been looking in my purse??? |
NurseB needs a M1A scout, so heres to hoping she buys one with her refund
Must be the gospel truth, afterall...it was printed in a magazine |
heh - if it was designed from the ground up by users working behind the fence then good! Lets get it out there and test the shit out of it, make any mods/improvements, and get that fucker into production.
But after the decade I spent in the .mil I'm just not an optimist... the army will manage to A) fuck up any attempt to implement it B) it will be fielded and Joe will see it in a fox hole in 15 - 20 years... not to mention C) how smart is it to field a weapon that only 'special' people have? how brilliant is that OPSEC? |
