I wonder what the feels and sounds like on the inside of a plane.  

Once I was with a couple buddies rappelling, and a freak thunderstorm popped up. It was still sunny out except right over us. A tree was hit by lightning about 15-20 feet from us. I swear my heart stopped. I jumped about 3 feet backwards, away from the cliff, and after a second, felt my chest, and felt no beat for maybe 3-4 seconds, then BOOMboom-BOOMboom-BOOMboom.

And another time some of us were playing softball. Me and this guy were standing where the home team bullpen would be, and we felt the air get electrified, static charged, we looked at each other and started walking briskly from the area, and when we got to the short stop position, lightning struck the fence wehere we were standing.

We knew we dodged and electric bullet.

A shotgun going off around you.  Loud and just a little blinding.  Doesn't really damage the aircraft though...last time we got hit it took off a couple of 15.00 dollar static wicks.
