I need to buy a bunch (several cases) of 7.62x51 NATO ammo. I've read here of many of the gun shops in the St Louis area, but which would have the best prices on good (non-Indian) 308? I'll buy up battle packs, but I'd prefer cases? I'll even drive a fair amount, if it's a good price.

Thanks, and at the next CMMG shoot, you should see why I'm buying up so much ammo.

I did just get finished linking about up 200 rounds. I think I'm going to have to buy a linker. My thumbs will never last linking up a case at a time.

There's a place here in MO that makes a 5.56 linker. I wonder if they do a 7.62 also.

I'll see what I can dig up.

My guess is an HK 21 ?

humm knowing who is asking and his fine collection of weapons. im going that he is going be Rambo at the next shoot.

Call AIM and have them deliver several cases of .308. I think it is about $150/case plus shipping which isn't too bad when you buy several cases.

I bought 5 cases last time.

You will need a linker. I tried to keep up with my HK 21E without a linker but my thumbs wore out. Then I bought a linker.

If you can't find one before the next shoot drop me an e-mail and I will bring one so you can link a few belts while you are resting.

Hey, they told me they didnt want to turn the ammo back in and make it disappear lol. When the barrel cooled off it looked like a banna it had such a warp to it lmao. A lot of folks used to bitch about having to clean thier weapons but if i had to clean my 60 it meant i had a good time

Why refinish it? IMO it gives it character, hte one i carried looked much worse than yours does and didnt matter to me at all and did not affect the function of the weapon one bit ,beauty is in the eye of the beholder

J&G Sales has Portuguese 7.62mm NATO on 200rd belts. I liked the Portuguese in battlepacks but don't know if this is a good price on linked ammo as I do not own a beltfed. href=Link to M60 belted ammo
