I've been dying to get out and shoot but I'm going to Huntsville to see the Tax Man this weekend.

Maybe another weekend.

just added a flash hider a new paint job to the m14 and need to burn some rounds through this xd45

You do know that you guys have me wanting an XD45 even though I said I wasn't buying another combat pistol! I got to ~~fondle~~ handle one at the GS Saturday and it sure felt good!

i have the xd 40. i really want to try it out and see if i need/want the 22# recoil spring. oh, and tfos are on the way me thinks. beer, your going to have to send me directions and let me know how much it costs to get in.

Mines a 4" Felt better to me than the 5".

As far as TBS and I can tell, very little difference in the two as to weight, balance and I suspect shooting.

10.00 a day, and if you are my or TBS's guest you can shoot on the private ranges IIRC.

Mike I'm 58 years old, have 2 kids and 5 Grandkids. I'm a T2 Diabetic, have had 1 heart attack, both knees are bad as well as my back. Now what do you think? Besides, they had the damn thing chained down

Can the accuracy of the XD45 be compared to that of most 1911s? If so, I'm in the saving mode again:)

I wasn't thrilled by the idea of a 4-inch .45... my first handgun was a plain vanilla 1911. Looking at pictures of the 5-inch model was totally different. It's a beauty. I'd like to see it, but it looks like I may be too busy earning money this weekend to come out.

If only they put an external safety on it for people like me who like the 1911 safety and Glock capacity. Why, Why, Why, won't somebody offer this as an option?

the grip safety takes care of that. it's really a non issues on this gun.

gee i never knew you were into S&M and bondage. you and lostwildcat should hookup

as for accuracy, it'saccurate for what it is. i think with a comparable trigger it would be DAMN close to my 1911's. actually it outshoots my SA1911a1. there is a company doing custom trigger work on them and i hear they do GREAT things with them.
