It's always been the case that you have to apply for your ptc at your county sheriffs office. I don't think that's anything new.

AND not have to make an appointment to turn in an application.... This is not an accident. I'm working all day long full time seeing and taking care of people to the same extent as before the virus. I have an appointment at the end of September. When I made the appointment, the waiting time was only 3 weeks or so. At least not yet.  Good luck with it. Hennepin probably will take the full 30 days. |

A. While it was a cute reply, he obviously was referring to the Minneapolis location of the HCSO.
B. Please read the whole thread before commenting, Hennepin Co residents had 3 optional locations, other than downtown Minneapolis, to drop off their PTC applications. IIRC, the alternate locations were available once a month on rotating Thursdays. Quoted: I think in Minnesota it's referred to as a permit to carry. And yes, the office of the Hennepin County Sheriff is in Minneapolis. I don't think Minneapolis has it's own sheriff. At least not yet. Good luck with it. Hennepin probably will take the full 30 days. |

I got mine in August . I had to wait three weeks for my appointment . It took ten minutes . I was prepared to wait 30 days because I heard that was common in Hennepin County , but I got mine in 4 days .

I was trying to schedule other things that day, but had NO idea how long to expect to be there. I've been assuming that I would need to wait the full 30 days, but that is GREAT news!
