I am posting this here to give mn shooters the jump, so please, forgive me if I have violated any rules. check out http://www.tacticalcommand.com/. they have the peltor comtac and swatac earmuffs for $125. I did a quick search and this appears to be about 1/2 their normal price. Somebody told me that there is a new version coming out so they are trying to get rid of the soon-to-be older model.

Anyone have these? How low-profile are they? My big ass chiepie $11 harbor freight pair get in the way of a good cheek weld to my stock, especially prone.

Sweet deal! I was researching the Peltor 6 and 7's as an X-mas gift for myself when I found this topic. The general opinion was the Comtac's were the way to go and the cheapest I found them online was around $229. Just ordered a set of the Swatac's.

Mine arrived today. If you didn't get in on these you're going to wish you had.

They are better than described.

ETA: They must have figured us out--they're $170.00 now... but it looks like they have some left.

My Swatac came today too! They are a lot nicer then described, these just ROCK. Like posted above the Holiday Special is over so now the price is upto $170.00.

Mine showed Tuesday. I have the Peltor tactical 6S and these are much more robust. I use mine in the woods logging and the 6Ss would have to be dissasembled every night to dry out. Next week I will put the Comtacs to work.

I've been wanting to upgrade my radios and I can't wait to integrate the Comtacs. Got a look at the new model, they have a thinner profile at the top. I didn't read, just glanced at the pic, so I don't know if there are any internal improvements.

The Peltor radio gear is a alittle pricey. I've been looking at the Firefox throat mics for awhile. I would think it would be pretty easy to put the audio into the Comtacs and have a pretty decent setup.
