I am looking for some bulk bullets for reloading this winter. I need .45 and .357. Anyone in the cities have a selection at all. Shipping prices could kill a person. I want 500+ of each. Thanks eagle308us

They are in a strip mall with a Kowalski's Grocery, and they have GS above their shop in blue letters. They are easy to find from MN Hwy 7.

Gunstop has plated bullets at a pretty good price.

Sportsman's Warehouse in Coon Rapids has West Coast Plated bullets.
(by far the best/cheapest plated around)

Wolf's Den in Hugo also has plated bullets that work well and are $10 cheaper per 500 than West Coast.

I have started shooting lead bullets in my 45acp recently. (230gr round nose)
They work well, are cheap, and chamber w/o problems.


I have not used anything other than lead 158gr SWC for my .357 in a long time. :)

I want to get away from lead bullets. I figure that plated are not that much more. I was using lead in my .45 and .357, as you are. I started to have feeding problems in my Colt .45. Mt dies also seem to get gummed up really quickly. I decided to make the move to plated.

100, I have probably 500 cast WC in .357. Let me know if you want them. I bet we could work something out. If you are interested, I will see who made them and get a better count for you.

Auto's generally don't like lead, but, 230gr RN seem to feed just fine. (I could never get my 200gr SWC to chamber reliably in my 1911) For both 230gr and 200gr, I like to use 5gr of Bullseye. It shoots clean in my 1911s, but, is smokier than hell in my wheel guns.



West Coast Plated bullets have by far the best tollerances as well as looking pretty.
I have loaded over 3000 rounds with them, but, have since switched to Meister hard cast.

When I reload 9mm, I use 124gr West Coast plated or Winchester FMJ.

For those that care:

.223 - AA2230 (very close to factory and pretty clean)
9mm - PowerPistol!!!
30-30 - H335 (have 200 rounds just sitting in ammo boxes)
.30-06 - IMR4895 (good, clean, and consistent...close to factory/WWII velocities)
.357magnum - Blue Dot (aka "Fire Breather")
38 special - Unique (switching to power pistol from now on)
45acp  - Bullseye
