I believe it's a muzzle break, but how do you tell?  Can anyone positively ID this as an evil flash hider, or should I be OK importing it into CT?

TIA.

as long as it's permanently attached to the barrel/fsb, that brake would be fine in CT.

cduarte:  The CT Statute reads, in part:
(iv) A flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor; and

(v) A grenade launcher; or

The '74 brake is commonly threaded on (don't know if chrisCT's potential 74 is threaded or not), but the thread pitch is only common to the brake and at last pass, there were no commercially available flash suppressors that were threaded in that pitch.  During the Fed AWB, this configuration was allowed, as the threads did not meet the feature count, as the threaded barrel could not "accommodate a flash suppressor."  IANAL, and that is my understanding of the law.
