One of the worst decisions I ever made was selling guns to put towards motorcycle accessories, among others I sold my Colt Gold Cup Series 70, bought in 1970, back when Colt made a lot better guns than they do today. It had that mile deep beautiful blue that Colt was well known for, it had an incredible trigger, I didn't have a way to measure it, but probably less than 2 lbs. Of all the guns sold and/or traded over the years, that Colt is the one I regret selling the most.
It was a pure target gun, accurate as it could be, a jam o matic, but I should have sent it to a good 1911 specialist for a reliability job.
I don't know this for a fact, but I suspect a rifled barrel would be a lot more accurate with slugs, worst thing about shotgun slugs is they absolutely beat you to death with recoil, a rifle is a lot easier on your shoulder.
