I'm thinking about renewing my SDA Instructor credentials. If I do, I'll be teaching classes over off of SE15 and I-35. I'm probably not going to charge anything more than the range fees (TriCity in Norman is available and fees will be relatively cheap).
But I will require NRA membership for everyone that takes the class.
Whether I do this or not all depends on how many express interest.
So if you're interested, let me know.

I'm going to only limit it to members (who post here regularly and who I know) and their spouses.
Just so I don't get overwhelmed by a lot of people I don't know.
ETA You posted here and I know your handle, so it's no problem with your wife coming.

That's mighty nice of you since you're looking at about a $500 investment up front. I would encourage anyone that does take Dan's class to make a donation to him...even if he doesn't charge...and even if he is a Fudd.

I might have to come sit in on one of your classes if you decide to renew Dan.

Is there a time limit between taking a class and applying for a CCW?

No. There is no expiration date on the certificate of completion.

I'm not current on the newest regs but the certificates when the SDA first started were good for three years.
And you have to be 23 to apply for the license when the SDA first came out.
Things change.
ETA
The union I belong to is where I'll be teaching the class.
And the majority of students will be the members and wives if this pans out.
So expenses will be minimal for me.

Way more hassle than it's worth. But you know that already.

Don't be arming union members. We'll be facing each other over some fence somewhere if things keep going like they are now

I saw it. I no longer care. Time for BSing and playing Mr Niceguy is long past.

With me or against me, Baby!

I don't care if they are union or not. I've seen non-union workers that were more of a "brother" than sworn union members.
If you think Masons or Knights of Columbus are bad in the military, you ain't seen nothing until you've been in a union.
