man lumbers got expensive, gotta redo my porch, so I thought I'd build a 8'x16' deck, eh.........not at todays prices, I figured it up and I was able to afford and 30"x30" landing and 6 steps with hand railing down both sides, heres what I bought from home depot for a $127 bucks:
5-2x4x8 boards
4-2x8x8 boards
2-2x6x8 boards
4-4x4x8 post
2-tubes liquid nails
10 pack philps head drivers.

had to go to wal mart and buy the deck screws, HD wanted $19 bucks for a 2lbs box, same screws were $9 at walmart.

Go buy some OSB.  Was $5 a board, and has gone as high as $22.  It has settled down a bit though.

can't think of a time I ever needed any OSB, good thing too, since I'd do without for $22 a board, I've used a bit of MDF though, thats some great stuff for topping a reloading bench.
