I am having a helluva time finding new work after my director's position was eliminated when the company I was working for was sold. I have read threads where others are experiencing the same frustration with job search.

Would anyone like to get together for an ARFCOM meetup to network and exchange leads? All skills are invited.

For me, I am a program manager, product developer, and business practitioner, broadly speaking. Right now I am bridging my gap by consulting to a couple of small companies who are getting past the startup stage but need processes, systems, and greater organization to make the next push in revenue.

I've been working 35 years and would like to get into a regular full time job in the Fredericksburg/Stafford area, most likely with a defense contractor so I can keep my clearance.

Who wants to get together in early December?

Wish I could help - my firm is based out of Tysons/McLean - so it's far from you, though they are working in the Federal/DoD space, mainly providing audit and some advisory services.

I landed a job in April but it's not my ideal. I still need to keep in touch with people. But since I'm working, getting together during the week is impossible. I was pretty well connected to a group in Richmond for a while. They are pretty active. Shoot me an IM if you want the Meetup link for them.
