Woodridge, IL Proposes To Strengthen Assault Weapons Ban

On Thursday, August 19, the Village of Woodridge will hold a Board Meeting to discuss Proposed Resolution No. R63-2004, which would "Urge Congress and President Bush to Reauthorize and Strengthen the Federal Assault Weapons Ban." Please plan on attending this meeting and voicing your opposition to this resolution. This Board Meeting is scheduled for 7:30 PM, August 19, and will take place in the Werch Board Room, Village Hall, Five Plaza Drive, Woodridge, IL, 60517. I don't think Congress nor W give a rip about what the Village of Woodrifge has to say. Where is Woodridge anyway? Isn't this area funny that way? If you grew up in the north suburbs, there are still towns down south you have never heard of and vise versa.

Unfornunate for me, Woodridge is right next to me.  I got a card from the ISRA and it said they want to get Cook, Will and DuPage to go with the ban as well.

Socialist Babyboomer nimrods rule this area for now. They are approaching their golden years, hang in there, their failed ideology will not die until the 60's generation is gone. They are right, always right about everything. If they say the sky is orange, it is orange.

Daley and Bloomburg of NY wrote a letter saying the same thing.
And I believe the IL Legist. passed a similas piece of BS.
It means nothing except to indicate which way the local politicos lean
and what local BS ordinances they might try to pas in the future.

This does not surprise me one bit knowing that Woodridge is part of CROOK COUNTY.

Sorry jal777, Woodridge is in DuPage Co.  Luckily for us DuPage is mainly Republican.

I heard that there were a lot of supporters there for us from the ISRA and NRA.  A lot of people inside and outside meeting.  The proposal was shot down 4-2 vote.  I was told that the two trustees that wanted this thing to happen didn't really have an idea of what thay were talking about.  Basically that they were reading a page out of the Brady Campaign.  Thanks to all of those who were there.  At least it shows were not going to take Daley's crap at an attempt to corrupt the surrounding cities of Chicago.
