I'm supposed to be going to an intro clinic for IDPA in Ripon on Sat.April 1st. Anyone else going?

I havn't been there in a while, but I think it's a couple miles NW of town.  Union St. rings a bell.

I am afraid that I will be at the Practical Pistol shoot at Springbrook on Saturday.  The Ripon thing sounds interesting.

I thought it vwould be cool to check out.I can honestly say that i'm not much of a pistolero but I'm better than those i shoot with including random strangers at the local indoor.A bit of humble pie/motivation is in order.Like last year when I went to a Small Arms Firing School in Racine and squared off against High Power shooters. I placed 13 out of 40 which ain't bad I guess but there was a pretty big jump in score from 5th to 6th place.Not to mention that the 2nd place spot was claimed by a very attractive and very young female.If she can do it then so can I,dammit. Equal rights be damned,I can't let her outshoot me with a rifle AND look better in high heels.Somethings gotta give and I really hope it doesn't mean I have to raid the wife's shoe closet. I'm hoping to get some High Power matches in this year.

Plenty of oppertunity to shoot HP down here in Racine.

Yeah,I plan to do more High Power this year. The clinic was really cool,I think I found yet another hobby.I hope to get out to some Hometown shoots or maybe even some training classes this year but the wife is pregnant,due in June so i'll have to weigh the benefits of bullets VS diapers. i say if swaddling clothes ie. being wrapped in a sheet, was good enough for baby  Jesus then pampers are an evil plot by Satan to drain my finances,pollute the environment,and befoul my garbage can.The wife does not agree however.Said something about "Are you going to scrape the poo out and wash clothe diapers" or some such madness.Hell woman,i can barely wipe my own ass,you do the wash,you should know.
