There is A long topic in the ammo forum about WWB at Wal Mart now selling for $9.xx a box. What have you guys found in our area? Please list date purchased, city/location, price paid. No way I'm paying that much for so so ammo! Any thoughts?

Thanx,
Stang

Just saw this in another forum.  That sucks, but it won't affect me since all I shoot is either Wolf or XM193 (when available)..and sometimes Black Hills.

Hopefully the WWB 9mm won't go up or it will ruin my sweet low price guarentee bargains at Gander Mtn.

Crap, I just tucked some cash away to buy some WWB from our local Walmart. Guess I'll run over there in the morning and see if they have any at the old price. I have no problem with the Remington/UMC green/white box stuff they sell for just under $4 a box, so I'll just buy more of that for general plinking.

Wal-Mart in Beloit has the WWB .223 at $9.98/40.
It was $7.73 this past Monday.
I wonder what their reasoning is behind such an increase in price.

Prices have been increased in Madison too.  The boxes had $7.73 marked on them, but they came up at $9.98 on the cash register.  I managed to talk them into giving them to me at the lower price though.  FYI, the price on WWB 9mm also went up to $11.98.

Should have stopped there after picking my kid up from UW today. I stopped at the Delafield WW on the way back and they were marked on the shelf as $9.98

I stopped at the one in newberlin and got the last 3 boxes they had for 7.73. They seemed to have a decent ammount of other stuff for the old prices.

Went to Wally today (Sat.) on the west side of G.B. and no WWB. Wasn't even a place for it on the shelf. I asked whats up but the guy didn't know his head from his ass, go figure!

No need for an FFL on an ammo group buy, unless he gets a discount that he would like to give us.

Sounds good, but lets do it on some good ammo like Q3131 or something like that.

every wally bumped up their price, came from home office on thursday/friday, i guess winchester did it to us, so wally being the nice business passed along these costs to you.  i think the rest of the ammo (federal) should jump in a week or 2

Yeah, the Saukeville and Franklin Walmarts are up to 9.98.  40 and 9mm are also up.  16.98 for 40 if I remember correctly.

Well that sucks.  At least 22lr is still cheap to shoot.

I just got back from Oshkosh Wal Mart and they don't even have a spot on the shelf for the 40 round value packs of 55gr FMJ anymore.  Oh well, Wolf is cheaper anyway.
