Hello all, thinking of ordering a PSA Dagger frame and was curious if WA State treats this like a lower AR Receiver or if it has to go through the enhanced background check like a handgun.

For those who know the answer or have bought one, would appreciate the input.

Thanks!

Under WA law that's not a firearm, also not a pistol

It should transfer the same as an AR15 lower receiver

Check with you're FFL though. Some are misinformed and will want to transfer it as a pistol

I’ve heard conflicting information lately and as far as I knew the law hadn’t changed. I called my local FFL and confirmed a pistol frame would still transfer as an”other”. 4473 and walk out the door with your frame.

I just bought a dagger frame myself after buying a slide from PSA. Still waiting for a shipping notice on the frame. Hurry up PSA!

As said above, call your FFL and confirm. I’d be pissed if I got 1639’ed.

Thank you for the comments.

Exactly what I expected, should be other, but some FFLs may want to treat it as a firearm.  Had an issue with an AR Receiver once (OEM engraved as pistol).

Any other input welcome.
