The doomers are so infuriating.

Read some of the topics and the responses.

These are the people still holed up in their homes nearly a year later, refusing to visit or be visited, insisting that the state stay locked down forever and mask wearing be a mandated action punishable by law. If you disagree you are an irredeemable, terrible person who wants others to die and doesn't care about anyone but yourself.

If you look at the comment/post history of any of these people you will find they are almost universally left leaning voters.

Who would have ever thought that this thing would end up almost entirely along political lines of division

Liberals think government is their saviour, because they don't know any different.

I can't imagine going through life like that.

Serious? This is predictable like a Summer sunrise.

Many people have no true convictions, and they will go whatever way the wind blows.

If there were dead COVID bodies on every street corner and the media was saying COVID wasn't real, those same Doomers would parrot the media rather than trust their own eyes.

Don't waste too much emotional energy on these people.  They aren't worth it.

All kidding aside, one would have to be pretty d@mn naive to think the numbers are being significantly manipulated.  How many deaths have been reported from the regular ol' Flu?

A significant number of people are simply just lazy & want to get a welfare check while they sit at home playing VGs & shopping online. They're ultra consumers: always taking, but never contributing to the economy that they siphon from. Based on "free" HC/subsistence income/etc/ad nauseum voting patters, I'd say it constitutes 50% in urban settings, & perhaps even higher. When people expect things to be provided without having to work for them, I can't see them objecting to being told to stay home & be lazy, because it's obviously their nature.
