We live down a dirt road. Folks seem to think they can drive down and park on the back part of our property to go hike in the woods, fuck, do drugs, leave shit, burn shit, etc.

So my wife and a neighbor put up a sign. I figured it would last a bit longer than 2 weeks, but expected something to happen to it (frankly I expected them to use a ladder and un-bolt it).

Before:

Some time this evening between 7:30 and 8:30pm someone snapped it off and stole it. Its about 50 yards from the house and we didn't hear a thing. It looks like they drove through the blackberry bushes right behind it, which seems damn weird. I'll take another picture of the stump tomorrow.

Wife is pissed. I'm irritated, but I expected it given the reception it got from some of the neighbors.

They didn't get the base. about 2.5' into concrete.

Phone your local redi mix (concrete) company and price a concrete block (precast) they weigh approx 4500 lb.

Lets see them steal that with out a hernia

I went with 6x6s. Got about three weeks out of them so far, but your story doesn't lend me much confidence.

It was likely a neighbor who feels entitled.

A game camera will give you enough evidence to confront them when you recognize their car next time. Be polite. File a small claims suit and get a RO after they threaten you when you do confront them.

sorry liberty, didn't know it was your sign. I took it last night after a day of hiking while I was out there fucking and doing dope in front of the fire of all the shit that I left last time. I figured I needed it for my place to keep assholes like me outta there. I'll let you know how long it lasts out at the cabin....

Actually, with the way the economy is, I know my place of employment as well as the yard we dispose of all our retained concrete is overrun with eco-blocks...I could almost guarantee that if you wanted to haul 'em out, they''d probably give 'em to you...be warned, though, as stated above, they weigh anywhere from 3-04 thousand pounds each...couple 10 or 20 of 'em would make a fairly nice bunker

Better yet, after painting no tresspassing on said eco block. Use a 4x4 to prop one end of the block up about 2 ft off the ground.
If they try to steal the 4x4 again, you might catch (trap) one of them.

Then underneath it.....

Make sure you periodically update the sign by letting off some big firecracker on a regular basis. Maybe some EMT drivers off-clock could help make it realistic

AND it has the added bonus of NOT landing your ass in JAIL.

What WOULD be pretty funny is a well camo'd bank of 300 flash bulbs and a camera rigged to a simple tripwire. Bright enough to blind you in full sunlight, and the resulting Youtube footage of some moron stumbling around after the flash.
