I shot two awesome groups today! One the target got mangled

The other enough got saved to show

Top right corner

7 rounds of UMC 230gr ball at 15 yards, offhand! The other holes are from my new to me 625-2, DA is harder then hell to shoot accurately, at least for me. I would say for a $400 1911 she shoots nicely! (Older Springfield Loaded).

For some of you this is probably bad.. but for me, I rarely shoot a pistol this good.

Not bad at at all, I know plenty of people that can't shoot that group at 7 yards

If you mean the black around the holes, that comes from the UMC bullets, don't know why it does that but it leaves a nasty residue on anything it hits(kinda like your christmas tree's at LCR)

Practice practice practice, smooth is accurate, smooth is fast.

Love it

I imagine if I spent all my tv time dry firing it, I would be much better. I need to get another set of snap caps.. I only have 5 so I have to count

On a side note.. does yours have any peening on it from closing the cylinder? I noticed on it mine.. just sent S&W an email and going to call them first thing monday if I remember. One hell of a big revolver.

Yours an 88 or an 89?

Well now I don't feel so bad Great pictures of a beautiful gun.

Boy she sure shoots, I love it. You can tell it's a big bore when you fire it, but it doesn't bring the pain out like a .44 magnum. I imagine with some practice it'll be a great gun. Just need to learn how to quickly get those moons in there.

Your's is a 4"?

Great shooting

Minute-of-predator!

It's your fault for motivating me to actually shoot that Ruger often enough to make a difference...

Did somebody mention a 4" 625?  Here's my gun store rescue from December.

I gotta say, 4" is sweet

I still need to take pics of mine, the ones I took didn't turn out. Apparently sunlight + stainless + cheap digital camera = washed out. Rest of the picture turned out fine, but the gun was washed out and showed no detail.

Is the crown factory? Is there a story behind it? (I like it, but none of my S&Ws look like that.... wish they did)

According to one of the dealers I buy from it is a custom crown done by a fairly large gunsmithing firm, and was a recommendation from Massab Ayoob(i don't know in writing or person).  From what I've heard it is a $90 option.
