Trying to justify the show this weekend.  Only thing I want is a new SIG 226 with new 15 round mags in the box.  I am probably going to have to order one to avoid all the old (postban)stock.  It is tough holding on to $700 cash and nobody has what I want.  

Obviously I will be a few days too early for this purchase.   The best excuse I can come up with is to see if the gougers are still asking $2000 for pre-ban Colt AR15's

Yeah, WTF.  Buddy and I will be there Saturday afternoon.  Will give me a chance to look for the SIG I want, even if it will have the "low-cap magazines".  If someone manages to sell me one it will be at a great price because I wont spend more than a dollar for 10 round magazines.

When I was setting up today, saw a guy with DPMS post-ban rifles on the table..."sale price" of $749.  

Thought about offering $600 with the phrase, "come Tuesday, nobody will want these...".

Another guy had a pre-ban Bushy w/Surefire forearm light and front hand grip for....$1,850! LOL

No, I've used up my disposable income for the next month or so.

Ok, so who went today and what did you get/get rid of?

Went to the show.......not worth it. No great deals other than ammo(Miwall, J&G)....and they are at every show.

Saw a few well used Colt "Preban" rifles(6601 and a 6530) for the low low price of $2400-2600.

yep, Mike Detty was there. Had DPMS, and Eagle Arms stripped receivers. I almost got one.
I was hoping Ameetek Arms would be there so i could get one of his lowers.  Ameetek was not showing today, and neither were the guys from Cav Arms. I was bummed, the only reason i went was to get an Ameetek receiver, and some Cav Arms furniture.l

I went and screwed myself over in the process. I went in search of an EOTech, and for some freakin unknown reason (even to me), I passed a brand new EOTech up for some AimPoint Replica. Cost me a very pretty penny. Worked great and looked good when I bought it. So I thought I'd better check it to make sure it all worked (after I bought it, ). The rheostat wouldn't work properly. So I traded it for another that checked out. Now, 24 hours later, it has the same problem. The guy told me it has a lifetime warranty, which I think I will be using at the next gun show he's at. I'll be getting all of my money back, and I will be buying that EOTech no matter what. I still can't figure out why I made such a dumba** mistake.

... Ha! Got some (20) round M16 USGI mags today for $13 a pop. Nice to see prices coming down.

I ended up getting an Eagle Arms receiver from Mike.  I let him talk me into an Armalite CAR stock for $60 too.  Not very racey but it looks good and works.

Nope, didn't see any YHM stuff.  Oh well, plenty of dealers hear anyway.  Might save up a few bucks first too.

I got to see preban AR's going for anywhere between $795 for this REALLY old one-- never even heard of the name before-- to the $2,500.00 M4geries that One-Eyed Jack has.  AR mags were anywhere from $13 to $50 each. 10/22 25+ round bannana mags were anywhere from $20 to $100 each; those nifty teardrop drums were $75 - $300.  I really hope someone makes a copy of the old Stanford/AMT thompson-style 10/22 drums; I'm NOT going to pay $400 for one.

The only disappointment was not finding a solid used stainless 10/22.  I found some new ones at $225-$240, one used for $200 (new is $205 at wally world!), and got to hear that AZ Shooters world sold two yeaterday for $139.95 each.  

One memorable quote from some guy wandering around with an AR...

Me:  Hey, how much..?
Guy:  $1,800.00.  It's a Green label Colt.
Me:  (sounding positive for the guy's benefit) Ah, okay-- good luck with it..!
Guy:  You're not interested..?
Me:  Nah, the ban's going away and...
Guy:  ...goddamnit, that's just terrible.  The best price I'm getting for this rifle is $600 from some jerk dealer.  Damn expiration.

Yeeeeah.  I'm taking a bath on one of my prebans-- but I'll gladly take a personal financial bath to have some national Constitutional rights restored.

All in all though, still a good show.
