My brother just called me and told me he got accepted to Capital University.
I will be home in 14 days and will be celebrating.

One of my work buds just finished his law degree and passed the bar(first shot), and he went to Capital.

Will he be a day student or evening student?

Best of luck to him. Tell him to stay the course and he will be fine.

Run for your life from the practice of law!

The "practice" of Law here in Ohio is just that: "practice." For what? No one knows. Is it fleecing clients? Buffaloing judges and juries? Lying to opposing counsel?  Bullcrapping your friends and neighbors?

Do something wholesome and real; something that you really enjoy and love with a passion.

For the most part--insoluable problems from perplexed clients, facing scurrilous opponents, lorded over by political hacks called "judges," in a system going as fast as molasses on a cold winter morning. The whole legal system in Ohio should be indicted for impersonating justice.

Having been "in the trenches since 11-09-1974" and sick to death of it all.

Should have stayed a tool & die maker: I'd now be retired, have vacation homes in Florida and Michigan, and have a bundle to retire on.
