Just wanted to let some of you know about this and pass the word.

Pete Garrett has been my gunsmith for years and probably one of the more active pro-gun business leaders in the Newport/Butler County area.  He's a good guy...

Well, when he heard that the local County Commissioner was going to try to pass a "no discharge of firearms" law for Campbell County he decided that he was going to kick the guy out office...the democratic way.  Last week he announced he was going to run...

Garrett is a founding member of the Newport Political Action Committee. The organization became active in city politics in the 1980s and helped usher in a reform platform of city commissioners in 1980. City leaders have acknowledged that the changes at Newport city hall eventually led to the city's rebirth with projects such as Newport on the Levee and the revitalization of Monmouth Street. Garrett has been active with civic, business and political groups, including Northern Kentucky Right to Life, the Campbell County Chapter of the League of Kentucky Property Owners, National Rifle Association, Monmouth Street Merchants Association, Crossroads Community Church and the Boy Scouts.

Looks like the guys has some chance of making it!  Good for him.  Kick the anti-gunner in the teeth.
